Aromated

I think you have to wait atleast 3-4 months more as they are going very slowly. Still my decision has not been made.

Folks,

This is really sad!!!! I can not believe HO. They have updated the site on September 27 and they are still processing applications receive on April 20, 2004. This is rediculous.

Anyway, here is to wishing all the best to all of us whose no. is yet to come. At this rate, I wonder when will the queue get shorter.

Noddy.

eastboy,
I know waiting drives all of us crazy but anyway we can't judge like this people which we do not know..
they are normal people and I guess like everyone they follow their work process.. I doubt it depends on the case workers.. It is a political issue..
and as we are foreigners which wish to go to the UK we can't be anything else but thankful to the UK gov. for giving us the opportunity! There are many other countries which do not do so..
Wish everyone luck!
Cheers

Hi Everybody
I agree with bugmaster that we should be thankful to UK Govt. for showing a ray of hope for the better life.
I hope that eastboy will soon control his nerves and will realise the efforts of HSMP Team. Good Luck to everybody

Lastly they updated the site on 24th thats Friday (last working day of week) and today they again updated the site thats 27th Monday (first day of new week) and there were two holidays (saturday and sunday) in between. So no case processing in those days. Means they are right...max. they could have gone for 21st April but that does not make much difference... So keep patience with crossed fingers...

The processing of FLR (IED) is also extremely slow. Only a one day progress was made in a week's time.

Any news on their user panel meeting notes? They said they would come out with a plan to speed up in process in their last meeting in April.

Didnt find any updates on their website for the spetember meeting.

Thats already happening. Its almost been 6 months now for May applicants to be processed and I estimate it will take atleast June-July 2005 for October applicants to be processed.
f2k wrote:they need to introduce some form of fast tracking applications. what happens to in country applicants? you lodge an application just b4 your visa expires (say those currently on student or another WP) and then you wait for more than 6months. for most you wont be able to work and even applying for jobs will be hard as agencies and companies will think you are "illegal". they need to do something quickly
Surely they must be as aware of this as we are about the loophole in the system. For in-country applicants esp. those whose visas are expiring - the HO should fast track them.

Is it possible that they are already reaching their HSMP budget for fiscal year 2004 and are simply awaiting the 2005 fiscal year to begin in order to be able to add the much needed additional staffing? Does anyone know how government requests to add more staffing work within the United Kingdom? (I have gone to the HM Treasury website, but unfortunately could not locate many references to the HSMP section of the budget.)

Couple of additional notes:

1. LA Mike's spreadsheet advises that, with no changes to the system, applications received on 1/25/05 will take approximately 1 year (12 months) to process.

2. Average daily number of apps received during May 2004 was actually lower than the average daily number of apps received in months subsequent to May 2004.

I calculated (Please let me know if you disagree): Approx 58 apps received per day in May, 65 in June, 67 in July, and a whopping 73 per day in August! Based on the changes to the other schemes (Effective 10/1/04?), I would think that the average daily numbers of HSMP received in September and October will be even higher.

I would agree with that. Based on the reference numbers and dates participating members have been publishing it looks like they are recieving between 2000 - 2500 applications a month, so that sounds right.

The rate of processing applications seems to hover around 50 odd per working day based on the decision feedback we have seen in the forum. Thats pretty much the reason why it seems to take 2 weeks to clear a weeks backlog. Hence if you have submitted your application now, you can roughly double the period of backlog (May to October) to arrive at the waiting period. Thats why May applicants are having to wait 6 months, and October in all probability will wait 10 months if there is no change to the system.

Thats very good news :)

It will be interesting to see if they take 2 weeks or not. In the case of duende it took him less than a week.

Best of luck 8)

Ya I know I think the reason for that is he faxed the offer on Thursday and I think Every friday evening they will give new cases to the case works for the next 5 days.So his application is allocated for caseworker.

In my case i faxed it friday and some how they did'nt allocated it last frinday so I think they are going to do that this week.

All the above is my guess

I am not sure of whats happening there ? Lets see anyway another 2 weeks i have to wait :)

I think they will improve performance after having changed current point system - current conditions make it too easy to apply for HSMP. I suspect they are quietly revising it now and do not want to let too many people into the country under the current system. It's only my opinion of course.
