Its better to get translated from a certified Translator. Check with the BHC in India and then take it forward.gsurendra wrote:Hi Antony,
Thanks for your reply!
One more query -
My kid's birth certificate is in Hindi. Can you let me know the procedure to get a Translation, Notarization, certified list of Translators, Notary Public etc?

Right, as I said earlier, what's required is somewhat dependent on your current location and your personal circumstances.girish wrote:Thanks for the suggestion....
i found numerous link and i am a bit confused by the replies at it.....few states that it is not required to send the original docs and few ppl say it is required to send all the docs tht were sent in stage 1 ..would be great if you could tell me the list of the docs required for stage 2, please
thanks in advance
Yes, You need to get a letter from your relatives stating that they can accomodate you with them. (when getting the tenancy agreement check the number of rooms in the house. if its overcrowded then the EC offier might think in another way about accomodation and could be a serious problem).girish wrote:1) Latest bank statements for 6 months - ok
2) Latest pay slips for 6 months - ok
3) Accomodation letter for your stay in the uk. (if you have accomodation in uk then you can mention that / else get a letter from your friend stating that he can accomodate you in the uk.) Also include the tenancy agreement , friends passport personal page copy, visa copy etc...
i am staying with my relatives,so do i need to provide a letter from them ??
4) You must show sufficient funds in your bank account. (Make a note that EC application should be filed from the home country only).
I am currently in UK...So cant i do my EC from here itself ??
5) If you have spouse / kid, then mention in the VAF1 application section : Other Information : I will bring my spouse and kid after 3 months or so. (This is required for ppl who are planning to get their family here in the uk as dependants of HSMP visa).
6) Add a HSMP Proforma document along the EC application
7) Take a medical x-ray if you have done (Or wait for the intimation from the BHC officer for undergoing the x-ray checkup. This is required at the time of landing in the UK - port of entry)
