Internal Enquiries?

Hi,

I applied for a Tier 2 General Visa on 20th January 2014 at Mumbai (North). It has been 15 working days and they have not taken a decision on my application yet. On requesting my status at the Mumbai.VisaEnquiries@fco.gov.uk I got a reply saying,

"As there are ongoing internal enquiries on your application a decision is pending. Kindly await the decision."


Do you have a idea what kind of internal enquiries do they normally do.
