ILR for PBS Dependent Wife who is currently on FLR(M)!!

Dear Members,

I have a quick question in relation to my wife's ILR. My wife came to the UK in Dec 2011 as a Tier 1(G) dependent and has recently been granted FLR(M) since I have got my ILR based on Long Residency.

We applied for her FLR(M) on the 17 Feb 2014 and got approval coming through the post on the 23 Apr 2014. Her FLR(M) is valid between 22 Apr 2014 and 21 Apr 2016.

Now I understand, given that she has been granted FLR(M) prior to the recent changes on 06 Apr 2014, we are eligible to apply for her ILR immediately under Part 8 - Paragraph 287 (a) (i) (d) of the Immigration rules as they stand today. Could someone please confirm if my understanding is correct?

Also, does anyone see any risk of these rules being changed any time soon as we are planning to apply for her ILR in couple of month's time?

Yes, she can make use of 287(a)(i)(d). B1 English and LIUK required.

I presume you do not see any immediate changes to these rules as we are planing to apply for SET(M) in couple of months time.?
