Completing MN1

Post by benneviss » Wed Apr 30, 2014 6:04 pm

Hello ,

Could any one please advice whether do we need at least one professional referee to complete MN1?

I contacted my child's health visitor and it appears that she is reluctant . My child is only one year old so no other referee like teacher etc.

I have one referee which is non-professional but I am stuck with the professional one . Is it mandatory to have one professional referee?

Shouldn't be too important for a section 1(3) application.

Hi bennivess

I had the same issue where the health visitor and GP and dentist, all refused to sign straightaway.

Luckily my son's nursery head teacher signed as a professional referee.

Check with your GP, as some GP's take charges and then do the sign. Also it is not important for a professional referee to give their passport number. Do tell them this fact, and then they might be less reluctant to sign it.
