ILR approved at Croydon (Ltd Co. Director) 30 Apr2014

Post by etelsa » Wed Apr 30, 2014 5:49 pm

Hi all,

First of all many thanks to all the people who contribute to this wonderful forum. You have been incredibly helpful.

I just wanted to share my experience this morning at the Home Office - Croydon while applying from Tier1 General to ILR.

It was very simple and easy although looking for documents many of which I didnt put as part of the application was exhausting.

Here is how it went:

Original Appointment: 8.30am - booked 3 weeks in advance
Arrived: 8.10am
Reception (provided appointment later and given ticket number): 8:13am
Application Submission called by an officer (I dont beleive he was the case worker), application updated into system: 8:15am
Biometrics Information Collected (biometrics officer took our application and supporting docs): 8:20am
Ready for Collection: 9.15, a vey nice gentleman told me that it was approved and that I should received my Biometric card very soon

Documents I submitted:

GENERAL
1. PEO appointment email and payment sheet
2. Current/Previous passports
3. Biometric Cards + passport photographs
4. Completed Set(O) form
5. Life in the UK pass notification
6. IELTS (an old one which I previously used for the first Tier1 General application)
7. Police Registration
8. Home Office letter of approval for Tier 1 General

INCOME
1. 12 Payslips on company letterhead signed by me as Director
2. Dividend Vouchers (on company letterhead signed by me as Director)
3. 12 months of personal bank statements (showing pay and dividend transactions marker-highlighted)
4. Letter from Accountant (on letterhead + signed) indicating I'm a director and that they confirm the income declared, detailing Payroll and Dividends as well
5. Schedule of abscences from the UK
6. Printout of accountant membership from ACCA website

I never got the chance to speak to the caseworker, the lady at the biometrics told me that nowadays you dont speak to the casewokers unless they need additional oinformation.

Oh one very important thing, I didn't submit any document related to my ltd company at all such us VAT, certificate of incorporation, P&L, SATR, Corp Tax, etc (although I have them with me in case they were needed as additional info)

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Congratulations!

Well done and enjoy the Long weekend after hard work. I am going on 3rd May.

I have question about Section 5 - Your finances. Is my understanding correct that applicants of 'Tier 1 Gen' route must fill this from 5.1 through 5.5 ?

Yes indeed, you need to fill the form. Please ask if you have any question, in section 5 you need to put the net. The gross is needed in section 9 A.5.

Hi Etelsa

Just saw ur post . wanted to know if you submitted seperate invoices for your income? is it mandatory. am looking to apply for one day service. also is there a need to submit contract or agreement between my ltd company and my clients. also would a invoice summary from accountant is acceptable.?

My income is from salary and dividend vouchers from my ltd company.
