ITR1 issue: Sending additional documents to Home Office

Post by cdraina » Mon Jul 23, 2007 4:58 pm

Hi Friends,

Called HO on July 23rd, my case is waiting to be allocated to a case worker.

Planning to send more documents. I have sent ITR, salary slips and Form 16 with my application. Since ITR is not being considered by HSMP team, I am planning to send Bank Statements.

Does any one know which address should I send additional documents to?

If any one has an experience of sending additional documents after sending the application please share it with us.

Cheers!

Make sure that you also include your reference number when you submit the additional materials, s that the new materials can be linked to the materials submitted earlier. You might first ring them to confirm that reference number; in my case, in the confirmation email they'd sent me, two digits in the reference number had been transposed. AG

I have not ticked the appropriate section for "bank statement" in the application form. Now if I send my bank statement as an additional document, how does that get taken care of in the form?

Friends, please share your experiences.

Income Tax returns are accepted by the HSMP team. Who said it aint accepted? infact that is their first preference. bank statements come as alternative provided you mention in your application for exceptional consideration and give brief writing.

Hi J,

Its a case specific to applicants from India. Indian Tax authorities have changed the IT return form and HSMP team is not updated about it.

Home Office guys are still expecting the older form as they fail to acknowledge new IT Return forms. Hence they are rejecting all HSMP applications with new IT return as one of the two pieces of evidence of past earning.

Cheers!

NOTE :
Just wondering. how you guys are sending the HSMP application. If you are sending by courier it should be to this address as mentioned in the Guidance notes:

Page 19 of HSMPguidance notes...

Applications sent by Courier
If you wish to send your application by
Courier, the delivery address is:
Immigration & Nationality Directorate
Work Permits (UK) HSMP
7th floor

Kindly check with some other folks and then decide to send the documents.

From page 24 of the v5.0 guidance notes, to reiterate that applications sent by courier should go to the Balm Green address:
46. Applications sent to any other address,
including our Moorfoot address in
Sheffield, cannot be accepted, and the
processing of your application will
therefore be delayed.

Hi Friends,

Is it necessary to have the Bank's signature/seal on the Statement?

Is it not enough to have it on the Bank's stationary?

My salary account is with Citibank and as a policy they do not sign/seal the account statements.

Would appreciate if you can share your experiences/views.

Cheers!

Hey Sapro,

No issues at all, I took in the stride.

I have sent my application with Sal slips and ITR ack. as evidence of past earnings. After learning about the ITR issue I called up HO and requested them to consider Bank statement as an alternative evidence. They made a system note my application.

I have sent additional documents (Bank statements) 2 days back. I hope they will consider all of it while deciding.

All the best for your review.

Cheers!
