help with change of employment dates

Post by scro2014 » Sat May 03, 2014 6:04 pm

hi,

I'm currently with an application for a change of employment tier 2,

my new employer has dated the CoS for 28th of April. At the moment I am waiting for the application to be approved, I've done biometrics etc but am still waiting for approval, now my current employer knows I'm leaving as soon as my visa is approved, but obviously my hoped start date has passed, do i need to resign now whilst my application is being processed because of that start date or as soon as it is approved thats when i leave?

Obviously I'm waiting on ukba approval and it was sent in weeks ago so my understanding was to continue working with current employer until it was approved.

Thanks

I would suggest to be patient and just wait until your new visa is approved. What if your new sponsor's license is suspended, or there is a mistake in the application on their part, or your position new is made redundand? You don't want to have already resigned and your current leave curtailed when that happens. A friend of mine is in the same boat and he is not even telling his current sponsor that he is leaving until he gets the new visa.
