PIO based on father-in-law, is it possible

Post by valsad » Sun May 04, 2014 1:36 pm

Hi,

Can someone please guide in the case to obtain PIO based on father in law for person born as British citizen. Father/mother's previous nationality Indian, now British but no proof of Indian citizenship available for them, not even their Indian passport copies or details are available.

Hence what are the chances if applied for PIO where father-in-law has OCI and spouse has also got OCI.

To apply by post, which original documents will need to be sent and also how many special delivery self addressed envelopes do we need to send for return of original documents and PIO card.

Thanks

You can apply based on spouse as it outlines in the document.
