Tier 2 to dependent switch

Post by kc0793 » Wed May 07, 2014 12:46 pm

Hi,

I am on a Tier 2 visa and was made redundant last week. My partner is on Tier 2 and I want to switch to dependent. What is the typical time required to process the switch? Is there a premium same day service available? Do I have to go out of the country and apply from abroad?

Many thanks

Yes, you can very well use the one-day premium mode to switch your visa. You can apply this within the country, no need to return to your home country. it was the case earlier, but they changed this rule last year. ( i am assuming you both are in tier2 general)
