ILR Query

Post by Ebez1 » Thu May 08, 2014 11:24 pm

I want to us this opportunity to say thank you for this forum for your help during my Tier extension in 2012. Here i am again.

I am due for ILR in Mar 2015. I got married in May 2012 and my wife was granted PBS dependant visa in June 2012(before July 9 2012). She joined me in the UK in May 2013. My questions are?

1. When will the home office start counting 2 years of living together? is it from June 2012 or May 2013 when she arrived?
2. I shall be applying for premium service, I know i will need to pay online, do i need to fill the SET O form online or print the form and fill it manually?

Thanks
Ebez

What date did you switch to FLR(M)? What date was the PEO?

Then you must have had to satisfy the Financial Requirement and would have been granted leave for 2.5 years.

In such case, you're on a 5 year route to settlement you'll need to extend again after 2.5 years and the settle after 5 years.

Many thanks,

In that case its better to wait till 2016 and apply for ILR 10 years basis because that has no financial requirement. Also in that case i do not have to wait 5 years.

When you received FLR(M) did you not have to meet the Financial Requirement? Was your leave granted for 2.5 or 2 years?

Yes, you may apply for SET(LR) after 10 years subject to eligibility.
