Incomplete declaration form (online) for passport

Post by go-fish » Fri May 09, 2014 8:59 pm

Hi,

I applied for passport through the online system, whereby I printed the Declaration Form signed along with countersignatory. Today, I received a letter that my application was incomplete and send a new paper form. I am little short on time and constraint with getting the countersignatory to sign again.

I was not completely clear of the incomplete so called the customer helpdesk. The lady over there told me that Sec 9 ( Declaration) and Section 10 ( Countersignatory) were not complete. She was saying that architects are not acceptable as per the list. But then they have only example list its not a definite "must be" list. I called again and told another guy that architects is a profession and list is for example only. The guy told me that I can write to them that this is the best and only referee available at the moment and things can get moving again.

I did sign Section 9 but didn't fill in the part "Relationship to applicant" and "Name" as I thought those were required to be filled only when signing on behalf of a child or someone else. Should I have written "SELF" in that?

Any views?
