Cannot apply Learner Permit as GNIB card submmited

Hi All,

I recently got the approval for Irish naturalization and my GNIB card was submitted.
In the mean time, I applied the Driver Learner Permit but it was refuses since I have no proof of residence registration.
They said I either need to show them GNIB card or the Irish naturalization certificate (which will be in a couple of month time)

Just wonder anyone in my situation and any solution for this instead of waiting after the ceremony which the date is not announced yet.

The only solution is to wait till you get your certificate.

Where is your Passport, they clearly mentioned Passport with Visa or GNIB Card, Bring your Passport along with the approval letter from department and show them letter. Depends who is on the counter.

Your passport lad show them that and you'll be grand. You should have it coz they never ask you send your original passport.

Hi friends,

I have my passport and did show them. I even have the letter from GNIB along with Naturalization approval letter but they insist on seeing the GNIB card or Naturalization certificate.
God knows why they are so bureaucracy.
