Received biometric card today :D (suppose to arrive yesterday)
Overall quite nice experience, the only hick up UKBA did they they send my card to my previous lawyer(used for extension) they probably had that address in their database, and lawyer was kind enough to send me card today.
Good luck to everyone going through the process, its great forum love it.

Congrats mate.

One question - Did you submit a absence letter for the initial period, when you mentioned you were away from UK?

Thanks
I did as I was working in Middle East for UK based client, I had good relation with them so I requested my line manager to print one letter for me and I provide him all dates from previous passport stamps and e-tickets, I was little concern that in HMRC details for first year there was no record due to oversees earning so I called Ukba if there is requirement to be paying tax in UK during absences and they replied it's not necessary for Tier1 general , also check with lawyers they mention even 4 years of economically activity in UK is enough.

Congrats Sak on getting your ILR, it must have been a big relief.

I have my ILR coming up next month, Any chance you could share the format of the absence letter you got from your previous employer ?

Congrats!!!

I don't understand why they sent your card to your old lawyer. They always ask and confirm the address where biormetric card will be sent. At least they confirmed me the address.

Thanks for your reply. Good to know they don't expect any taxes etc during the absence period.
