no progression - full maintenance

Post by londonboi12 » Wed May 14, 2014 4:57 am

Is it possible that if some one dont have academic progression from last leave to remain ? But have progression to get admission in new course but not from previous visa period.
what are the chances to get visa by showing full maintainance and submitting as a fresh application in these circumstances.

Urgent replies wil be appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi king,
Had two visas on level 7, first one is completed only, no progression for curent one. For visa is it necessary to show current progress ? Or can be submitted as new application by showing full maintenance ?
Thanks

Hi LB

Were they academic or professional course ? It all depends really did you finish the duration of course but failed if so it would be lower. What courses have you done and what course will you be doing now ?

Thanks

a tier 4 sponsor can only issue you a CAS if it is satisfied you are making academic progress from your previous course for which you were granted tier 4/student leave. If the sponsor is not satisfied and cannot justify how you are making academic progression then it should not issue you a CAS, regardless of how much money you have in maintenance.

Hi ldb

I thnk if they issue you cas on the basis of you meeting the requirements because you have the right qualification then it should be okay. In regards to progression depnding on what the college/university states on your cas if it is complementary to your previous course. Is this course complementary to your previous course of study?

Thank

The tier 4 sponsor is supposed to confirm that you are making academic progression from your most recent course of study for which you were granted tier 4 leave, not an historic course that you actually completed. Do they know about your current course?

thanks for reply kingz n greenie,
its not complimentary course it is showing progression from level 7 to Master degree program.

i have one more question, which is tricky !
if the previous course is completed but not successfully then how much maintenance do i need to show ?
is it 9000 or 2000 as i have studied the course for more then 6 months. but it is not mentioned in the policy that it should be completed successfully or not to qualify for established presence.

Many thanks

Hi LDB

its true about what you are saying its not to clear to me either. You should speak to your new sponsors about this. Do you have your final results from previous course like attndance or confirmation letter stating that you completed the duration of the course but failed ?

Whats does your new sponsor say ?

Thanks
