ILR eligibility

Post by chaitumkr » Tue May 13, 2014 10:03 pm

Hello Friends,

Could you please help me whether i am eligible for ILR in April 2015 or not. Below is my visa dates

Initial granted visa : May 14th 2010 to May 13 th 2012

first Entry clearance in UK : June 18th 2010

Tier 1 Visa Extension Applied on : May 3rd 2012 , Got extension valid from May3rd 2012 to May 3rd 2015.

So can i apply ILR 28 days before from my expiry date i.e on April 7th 2015?

Regards,
Chaitu

Thanks Amber .My visa will expire on May 3rd 2014 ,Why i have to apply 28 days before May 14th 2014 ? .Is there any specific reason for this. Is 90 days concession period not cover my shortfall? . Do i need any further extension?

Because you need to complete 5yrs period for ILR. and applications are allowed only 28days before completeing 5yrs, anyway why do you need extension? you can apply to ilr after April 15th2015

Hi Amber and Chaitu,

Good Morning ! Please could you guide me on my case?

1. I entered UK in Jul 2010 with 2 years Tier1 Visa , valid till Jul 2012.
2. Then extended my Tier1 Visa for another 3 years , valid till Jun 2015
3. As of today I have totally spent 170 days out of UK
4. My Spouse entered UK on March 2013 and on and off in UK due to personal reasons. Spouse visa is also valid till Jun 2015.
5. As UKBA has announced that there will be no extensions after April 2015, should I go for extension in April 2015 or as I am eligible for ILR in Jul 2015 should I do that ?
6. What would be the case to my spouse ?
Kindly let me know

Hi Amber and Chaitumkr,
Can you please help mw with this?

I am married to a british citizen since 2010 and i was due to apply for my ILR in december 2012.
But due to having drink and dive offence, i was told to wait until 5 years has passed since i was convicted. This will take me to october 2014.
What I am asking is, I was told that ukba has now reduce the rehabilitation period from 5 years to 3 years.

Does this mean I can now go and apply?
Or this is not applicable to me?

Please help.

this is first time i'm posting in this reques so forgive me if i done it wrong.

thanks

George
