English Requirement

Post by misssycamoremuse » Sun May 18, 2014 4:10 pm

Hi guys,

I wanted to ask about the English requirement. I want to take an ESOL test but I'm finding it very difficult as I do not have a passport or travel documents. Is there any test centres that would allow me to take an English test without these (for example with a driving licence/BRP) and that are approved by the Home Office? I have already contacted Trinity College London and Cambridge so these are out of the question for me.

May i ask , if you want to apply for naturalisation ( as you are asking about ESOL), how will you be able to do it without Passport/travel documents?

Thanks for this,

I didn't know that it was a requirement to have a passport. Because when applying for ILR I did not have a passport/travel documents as it would be difficult for me to obtain a passport and because I applied under humanitarian I didn't think you can apply for a Conventional travel document. Will this have an affect on my application?
