police stopped....ilr due...opinion needed

Hi last night police stopped my friend for going through red light they gave him offence report not fpn and said tht he might get course to attend or 3points nd fine within 28days his ilr is due in 4mnths what options he has now....he is in tier 1 general and had already 6points from court 2 years ago.

Thx amber yes if it is a course offer he is saved but wt if he gets 3 points I ve advised him not to go to court and accept it and will save u at ilr....am I right??

This board cannot advice whether or not he should take points, you should ask a criminal law solicitor. However, a conviction may be a general grounds for refusal for ILR for 24 months.
