There is no confusion. It would have been VAF4A, Appendix 1 and only adequate maintenance and accommodation. An undertaking would have likely been required also, SU07/12.

Well the (voluntary) Moderating Team cannot answer every post I'm afraid. The question will have undoubtedly been asked and answered many times before in which, a simple search would have availed.

Hi Prakash,

I am in similar situation as you were a month ago. I wife is expecting a baby this month. We both on ILR. I need more information and Guidance on what Visa is needed and what documents are required to be submitted.

1. How many days it took to get the Indian passport. What documents are required etc.
2. What VISA is required to bring the child to UK
3. Should the father present along with the child when applying for VISA in India?

if you could share your experience, that would be really helpful. Alternatively if you could drop your contact number or personal message that will be great as well.

Thanks
Rama

Hello Rama,

For Indian passport (it depends where do you live) it took 3 weeks to 4 weeks, before applying Indian passport for your baby, spouse name should be in yours wife passport that means your name, and if your are not in India while applying passport for your kid, you have to go to India embassy in London to get XXXXX form (i forget the name of the form) then only you can apply for passport for your baby

ILR visa for your kid

Again it depends for me it took exactly 2 days, they gave me a visa for my son

If you both are in ILR visa you don't need to show the financial requirement, you have to fill VAF4A & Appendix 1 form

Document below which I have submitted

1) however I have submitted 12 months pay slip and bank statement
2) Employer letter
3) Tenancy agreement
4) proof of conversation between my wife (Skype, email, phone bills)
5) proof you and your wife stayed in UK
6)SU07/12 form

Drop ur number man i will call you and give you more details

Thanks
Prakash

Hello Rama,

I didn't get your question

you mean getting the appointment on the VFS? once you completed the application by online you are able to book an appointment and you have to pay the fees by online as well

I forget to mentioned in my document list ( you have to produce yours and your wife passport copy ,ILR copy and recently you visited stamping page on passport)

Thanks
prakash

Hello Rama,

Make sure you have to take a TB certificate for you child

But in UKBA website if child is under 11 years old they don't need the TB certificate, however in VFS(chennai) they are asking

Thanks
Prakash

Thanks Prakash.

Is that Sworn Affidavit that you think that needs to be submitted by my wife if i am not in India while applying?

My initial question - can we get the appointment pretty quickly or roughly how many days it would be once we fill the application online and make a payment.

Cheers
Rama

Hello Rama,

Yes it is Sworn Affidavit , does your name is in your wife passport as a spouse name?

You can get the appointment pretty quickly, once you fill the application online, on the same day you can pay the fees and book the appointment

Thanks
Prakash

Hi,

Myself and wife both got ILR last year and now going to apply for settlement visa for our son in Chennai. As we need to submit Appendix 1 as part of VAF4A application, I have a few questions on them:

a) Should I need to fill up Part 1 of Appendix 1?
It says "Do not complete this part if you are applying as the child of settled parents with limited leave". I think myself and my wife belong to "settled parents with limited leave" and so, we are not required to fill this up, right?

b) Can you plz tell me "what is current net income" as per UKBA definition?
1) Is it the income for the last 12 months prior to application?
2) Is it the income for the next 12 months?

The reason I am asking this is:
As I only started contracting from April 2014 onwards, how will I show my current net income? as I dont know how much dividend I can take in the coming months. But I am taking a salary of £10000 per annum and is mentioned in my April paysilp. Also, I have taken £4000 as dividend for April but it would be varying and there isn't any concrete amount that I can show as that of my salary.

In this case, how will I prove my net income is so and so.....

Plz advise

Dear Muralitharan,

I haven't filled the application my solicitor filled it for me, however I do have the copy of my application forms with me. if you want I will check it and let you know

you have to show the last 12 months income not the coming(future one).

what type of work you doing? Are you working in IT? reason i am asking is it possible you can get the letter from your previous employee or current employee?

Kind Regards
Prakash

Dear Prakash,

Thanks so much for the reply.

Can you plz check with your copy of Appendix 1 if you don't mind?

As I mentioned earlier, I started doing IT contract work since April 2014 and till March 2014, I was with another software company for about 5.5 years. I have payslips from April 2013 to March 2014, P60 (2012/2013), P45(2013/2014), a letter confirming my employment, income etc from my previous employer and payslip, dividend voucher, business and personal bank statement for April 2014 and accountant letter confirming my last 12 months earnings (11 months with previous company + 1 month with current) .

Do you have any idea about processing time at Chennai VFS? Is there any priority service available for settlement visa?

Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Murali
