Document list: Tier 2 dependant from India

Post by bsc2007 » Wed May 21, 2014 6:32 pm

Hi friends,

My wife is applying as a Tier 2 dependant next week from Mumbai, India. Can you please confirm that the below documents are ENOUGH for the application:

- My passport copy (front page and back page)
- My biometric copy (front page and back page)
- My original CoS letter (issued to me on 20th December 2013)
- Printout of the application form completed online: https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/
- My wife's passport
- My wife’s old biometric (she has been in UK before)
- Marriage certificate (in English)
- My 90 days’ Barclays bank statement (maintenance and address proof)
- My wife’s TB certificate

And additional documents
- Wedding photographs x 3
- 3 months' salary slip
- Last year's P60
- Covering letter by my wife (attached CoveringByDependant.doc)
- Covering letter by me (attached CoveringByMainApplicant.doc)

Am I missing anything? Can Manci/Guru please confirm the above.

Doubts:
1.
I am not submitting any tenancy agreement (I don’t have one) or additional address proof (I can attach broadband/mobile/credit-card bills). Can Manci/gurus kindly confirm that NOT SUBMITTING TENANCY AGREEMENT is okay?

2.
If the covering letters are needed, are the attached copies okay? I got them from re1thk (thank you!). Hoping to be helpful for others..

3.
I am NOT submitting any letter from my A-rated sponsor (although they sponsored my maintenance last December)

4.
I am NOT submitting the job appointment letter.

Eagerly awaiting a confirmed and reliable reply...

Many thanks!

One more question, do I need to sign the copies of passport and BRP card? Is any kind of 'attestation' required on any copies?

The doubt regarding tenancy agreement is important, as I see lot of semi-concluded discussions in the forum. Some of the posts that has complete list that I need are outdated/incomplete.

Please help.

Many thanks!

I recently applied and got a dependent visa for my husband just today. The maintenance letter from an A Rated sponsor is definitely required. However your tenancy agreement copy is not mandatory. We had submitted it, but it was returned back to us.

Hope this helps

Thank you so much for your reply Mitali! I am glad to know that the Tenancy Agreement is not required.

According to Manci's reply to one of my previous question, it is okay even if I submit just the bank statements. (It is going to be time consuming to get a new letter from my employer). However, I am going to attach my original CoS letter as a backup.

Which city did your husband apply from? How much time did it take? I understand that there is no priority service for Tier 2 dependant, is it true?

Glad to talk to someone who has recently applied and got the visa! :)

Many thanks!
