Ash2006,

Many many congratulations, the wait has paid off and I hope with everyone on here that you have a blessed and marriage life.

A question I wanted to ask is, what is this interview? I ask this as my wife's friend also got her Visa and came to the UK. She had an interview at the airport in the UK where they asked 3 questions. I'm assuming your spouse's interview was done in Pakistan, and then on that basis they granted the Visa.

Also, my wife received her documents I sent for her visa in 4 days through Royal Mail.

Thank you everyone for your happiness and support. I will answer all your questions in simple terms

1- I was not ask to submit further documents

2- Ahmed another member of this forum his wife was interview probably to check to how genuine there relationship is

3- my application was on deferred in my opinion for no reason what so ever,

4- i did not submit a p60 when my wife applied in septemeber 2013

5- Im sorry i cant answer questions on additional documents as i didnt go through that process during my application

6- this has been a long journey for me and my wife, after sending countless emails messages, call , to mps/bhc etc,,

Hi. Application submitted on 17 January 2014 for wife's settlement visa. Still not heard anything yet.

Is there any way I can chase this application up?

Is it just a matter of waiting or can I do something?

How long should it take maximum?

I know other people who applied after me and got visa within 2 weeks.

Many Thanks in advance.

@musriz & Sophia I'M FINALLY HERE! Sophia a ticket to Pakistan I wish! lol

First of all congrats to Ash. May Allah (swt) bless you and your wife with happiness for the future. Ameen.

I've been all over the place this morning and just got back from the solicitors. The visa (surprise surprise) has been rejected which is exactly the same response the MP got before the interview. It's very confusing why would they ask her to come in for a interview if they had already decided to reject it? Anyway I'm going to give an appeal a shot. If I've waited this long I suppose I can wait longer.
