Hi Member(s) ,
I came across this rule that mentions -
“Please note that Tier 1 (General) extension applications will no longer be accepted from 6 April 2015. Tier 1 (General) indefinite leave to remain applications will no longer be accepted from 6 April 2018.”
I had a few quick questions on extension and PR f based on details below. I am currently on a Tier 1 (general) visa.
Tier 1 issue date: 15/03/11
Date of first entry: 06/06/11
Post Extension, BRP card valid until : 15/03/16
Duration of stay in UK before visa expiry : 4 years 9 months 9 days
On 6th Apr 15, visa still valid for : 11+ months
My questions -
1. Given that my total duration of stay in UK before my visa expires is less than 5 years, am I eligible to apply for PR or do I need an extension as there is a shortfall in 5 years of stay?
2. If I need an extension, how early before the visa expiry can I apply for another extension?
3. Do I need to take another extension before 6th Apr 15 due to the above mentioned rule?
Thanks,
Sameer
