PBS Dependant extension - Main Applicant Document

Guyz, just about to post PBS dependant visa application for my wife. One small and easy question...Do i need to send Main applicant original passport and BRP. Are Photocopies enough?

Had tried to search this forum, but seems to be quite a few people have been sending originals. When my wife applied for Entry Clearance a year back, I send photocopies of my passport and BRP, why for an extension originals would be needed?

Main Applicant - ILR from Tier 1 General 5 year route

I am not sure. For my case, Mine was extended first, After that my wife came back from india and extended. But I called ukba helpline for this. They told they need originals. But if you have any urgency they will return mail applicants documents once the verification process was done.
