Got second stage letter today

Hi folks , i got my second stage letter for citizenship today , here is my history of application for citizenship ,
application sent 17th April 2014
first acknowledgement letter received just after 5 days on 24th April 2014
Second stage letter got today 26th May 2014 .
In this letter they said my application has proceeded to second stage and if they need any documents they will let me know otherwise i will get my letter of decision.
it seems fast processing , does it mean they are processing at the same speed as in the Mr. shatter ?

anyone have any idea how long they take from second stage to send you decision assuming the case is straightforwad and not complex ?

Technically the second stage very much depends on ur Garda vetting report. As soon as the report is received by DOJ, your file would be send to the minister for approval.

I got my 2nd stage letter on the 13th of January and the approval on the 24th of April, so around 3 months and a half. Thats how long it took for me. I have read on this form where the whole process took 3 months for another person. Mine was just under 6 months.

It was about 5 weeks from 2nd stage to approval for us. From what acquaintances told me, it usually takes about 6 weeks for garda vetting regardless of who/why/what. I mean whether it is for job, working with children or the DoJ.

No problem at all. I have posted it on another thread (somewhere).
First applied 17 Jan (5 years residence, stamp 1 and stamp 4)
Acknowledge receipt 21 Jan
2nd acknowledgment mid March
Approval 24 April
Invitation 23 May

I think this was wonderfully fast and am delighted. I don't think the processing time will change with Frances Fitzgerald (also delighted that a woman Minister will be -I think- at our ceremony.)

What is actually 2nd stage letter about.I have applied for my son and recieved acknowledgment letter on 24th April 2013.After that i recieve 2nd letter on 7th January 2014 which says that Your application for naturalisation on behalf of your child is currently being
processed in the normal way with a view to establishing whether your child meets the statutory condition for the granting of naturalisation and will be submitted to the Minister for decision when
processing is complete.
Is that normally 2nd stage letter says???
We are still awaiting decision.
