Hi,
I am planning to apply for ILR however have some doubt due to the below comment in HO page. I came UK in Jun 2009 as Tier 2 (ICT) while got Tier 2 (ICT) stampped in Feb 2009.
Later I switched to Tier 1 (G) in Mar 2010 and from then I am holding Tier 1 (G) visa. In short, I am about to complete 5 years in UK (Jun 2009 to Mar 2010 as Tier 2 (ICT) and further as Tier 1 (G)).
Below comment says that the 5 years stay can include time in UK on another visa from the list given however this list does not have Tier 2(ICT).
Would appreciate if someone may clarify it as I was under impression that I can apply for ILR in Jun 2014 as I am about to complete 5 years (no matter it was initial 9 months as Tier 2 (ICT).
Continuous residence
The time you’re in the UK is called continuous residence. You can only be outside the UK for up to 180 days in any 12 months during that time.
The 5 years can include time in the UK on another visa if it was 1 of the following:
Tier 1 (General)
Tier 2 (General)
Tier 2 (Minister of Religion)
Tier 2 (Sportsperson)
Highly Skilled Migrant Programme
Work Permit
Innovator
Self-Employed Lawyer
Writer, Composer or Artist
Thanks
