Change of Employment

Post by anul » Tue May 27, 2014 12:49 pm

Hello,
For change of employment application are my dependents allowed to apply after I make a successful change of employment application?

I intend to make an in-person change of employment application. Provided my application is approved on the same day, my dependents intend to make postal application on the same day to regularise their stay in the UK. Is this acceptable as far as the immigration rules are concerned?

Yes, it's possible. Once your application @PEO is successful and after receipt of your BRP card (in 7 working days), you could opt for postal route for your dependants.

I have one more question,

I am currently on 3 month notice period however I am planning to apply at PEO next week. The start date on CoS will allow me to serve only 2 week notice. Please advise,
Can my existing employer force me to continue working for them for rest of the notice period.
Can they cause any trouble regarding my new application.
Can Home Ofiice cancel my new visa if they reach out to Home Office.
Or any other downside.

Best regards

if your application is successful you can only continue working for your current employer, and they are only legally allowed to employ you, until the work start date in the new CoS. For any repercussions because you haven't given the specified notice you need to refer to your employment contract.

no, but see above

no, but you shouldn't give notice (no matter how short) until your application has been approved by the HO.
