ILR success at PEO Croydon 24 May 2014 Spouse SET (M)

Post by Dani123 » Tue May 27, 2014 4:15 pm

Croydon PEO - Spouse visa to ILR Approved (50 minutes in total)

Initial visa valid from: 24-May-2012 to: 24-August-14 (27 months)
First Entry to UK: 29-May-2012
ILR applied, granted: 24-May-14

Documentswe submitted:

1. Cover letter detailing the list of documents
2. Completed SET M form
3. Payment confirmation sheet
4. Life in the UK certificate
5. English requirement (IELTS) certificate
6. Marriage Certificate
7. Bank Statements and Joint Credit Card statements (3 months)
8. Evidence of sponsor’s immigration status
Passport and a Copy of Passport (British naturalised citizen)
9. Evidence of sponsor’s current employment and monthly income:
Payslips for last 3 months
Bank statements for last 3 months
P 60 for the year 2013-14

10. Cohabitation Documents
Council tax bill
Holiday tickets (past few and 2 future ones)
NHS card for Main Applicant
Poll Card for Main Applicant and Spouse (not required but was available so attached)
Driving License for Main Applicant and Spouse. (Just in case not needed per se)
11. Accommodation details and proof
Land registry document
Homebuyer’s Report
Council Tax bills
12. Letters to the main applicant and spouse(few bills and personal mails addressed to the spouse)

My appointment is at 8:40 am; how and I reached there by 8:30. Since it was Saturday I was one of few that day. We have been directly sent to the reception and sent to the case worker in 5-10 minutes at about 8.45.

The case worker inputted some data into the system and after 10-15 minutes my wife was sent for Biometrics and photographs. At 9.05 or 9.10 we were sent to Cafeteria to wait for the decision.
We waited in the cafeteria until our number is called. At around 9.25 our number was called and a lady who is returning my documents told that your application is approved and we will send you biometric card in 7 days.

We left the building at around 9.30 am so overall 45-50 minutes in total.

One advice to everyone that even if it’s a stressful situation for many please just provide the documents as asked in the guidance and arrange them as per the heading above or as in the guidance so it’s easier for the case worker to go through it. Don’t attach too many documents as this will take more time for him/her to go through it (having said that I think I submitted few additional documents which may not be required e.g. poll card and driving licences).
If all the documents are in order and case is genuine I don’t see any problem in ILR except that the case worked has not on the wrong side of the bed the night before! So take all the documents with you just in case!

All the best to everyone for one’s applications. I think the premium service was expensive but worth it as we don’t have to wait and wait without knowing when the decisions will be made.

I undersand the declaration on page 31 not the declaration on page 32. Are you saying you have signed and dated on both page 31 and 32? As the page 31 and 32 are silghtly different though they both are data verification. Thank you very much for you help.

hi,

Congrats, did you have any absences? my wife was out of the country for 75 days ( I accompanied her for 30 days - so 45 days she was out of country by herself)

The maximum absense was 31 days at a time for my wife and in total 110 days. In my view it should be fine for you.
Thanks

i have 3 kids having British passport (so not include in the application)
