Hi Members

Just a quick question.

My friend is due to apply for ILR on 10 years basis. In 2008, his visa was expiring on 29th Feb 2008 and he applied for extension on 5th March 2008 (4 days out of time). He got his visa on 1st April 2008. Will this gap effect his ILR in terms of break in continous residence.?

Thanks

Hi

I have a quick question- I will be applying for ILR in the next few days. My total days out of country are 542 days - only 2 days more than the required days. Everything else seems fine. My solicitor says HO is quite generous now so don't worry but I am very much worried.

Is there anyone here had more than 540 days out of country and still got approved?

Many thanks
Maylia

Well better to complete ten years instead applying before 28 days.
If you go back to previous pages you will know that all of them who were on 3d applied then they completed 10 years not before.
But you can get seniors advise. I was on 3d but i did compelte 10 years and 10 days then i applied.

hope this will help.

Hi tanz5656,
Just to let you know that I applied for my wife's FLR(M) before the 06th April 2014 rule change, so there will be many things that will be different now.
To my knowledge, as many documents as you can, that you could send to support you Mrs FLR(M) application is better. Although Home Office know that she is your dependant but still you have to make a fresh case as a dependant of a settled person, so if you have accounts and utility bills on the same address together, that will help. I don't think it is necessary, but I would say it's better if they are there.
Regards to filling 7-A, I am afraid that after the 06th April rule change, yes you have to fill that and show that you are earning enough to take care of your dependants without recourse to public funds.
I hope it helps mate. All the best with your future applications.
Kind regards
Shahjee

Hi tanz5656,
Really sorry mate as I am not sure on this. I had almost 6 documents covering the last many years hence I didn't bothered looking into the rule, as I thought I have the documents so why bother. I just attached every thing. Now I hope that it will be alright for the lot sitting in the Home Office deciding our fate. :)

Sajjad Bahi,
I just checked my Royal Mail special delivery Ref. No. And there is no update. Hence I called them and the lady say that the application is still not complete. When I asked what is the update, is it with a case worker or ??? She replied that the only thing I could tell you is stay put, as they are working on February applications right now, so it could be any time. So basically no new information. As I said before that looks like we will be very lucky if we got to hear any thing by next week :( let's see what happens.
Kind regards
