You should call HO and find out, or the only possible reason can be your case worker is offsick or something.

Please ring them and they should help.

Thanks

Do you have any idea why so late: possible reason? My case is very simple.

Calling several times ( 2/week). The same robotic answers. 6 months service standard.

"Update: ESOL B1 Certificate receipt: 20/05/2014"

Why is this? Did HO ask for this?

HO sent me a letter in March informing me that my application has been put on hold (ETS suspension) and I can choose to take a new test which will "enable them to progress my application".

I had contacted my local MP who sent a letter to the Immigration and Security Minister in early April. I haven't had any response from him since then and just got tired of waiting...

Congrats Somudro! It was a long wait, but the positive decision is the only thing that matters in the end!

Had a phone call from HO, the adviser basically said that my application is processed from the date they received my new English language test - which was 20 May... So, I'm hoping end of Aug (8 months) for a decision.

My local MP has sent a letter to HO on 14 June - we'll see what happens...

I'll let you know.

I am thinking to send a Reminder letter to Homeoffice through my Solicitor as well so the case can b looked in more quickly..Wil keep updated..Please remember me in your prayers.

The letter sent from my MP on 14/06 (HO response received 22/06) seems to have done the trick!

Thanks guys for your support.

I suggest you get in contact with your MP as it has gone past the waiting period.
Good luck

I applied 07/01/14 and still no result! Contacted the MP and it looks like that has not helped at all. MP requested my documents to be returned to me.by mistake and I got sent wrong passports that do not have anything to do with my application. I wrote them a letter and hot a response to say they are still doing checks.... I don't kno what to do now except write again

If your time frame is more than 6 months, best way forward is Complaints procedure; Set out your complaint clearly and briefly, including dates and any reference numbers where possible, then email or send it to:

Email: complaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Address:
Complaints Allocation Hub

That is ridiculous. Did the complaints team give you the same generic answer? You should complain about that too and ask for a review. Apparently you can ask your MP to take it up with parliamentary ombudsman and not just write to the HO because their answer was not satisfactory.

If you haven't already done this already, you should lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office. I bet the HO didn't bother notifying the people whose passports were sent to you. Imagine if your passport was sent to some random person, they could be stealing your identity. I'd be pretty upset.

So I guess the complaint procedure doesn't go far cause the way it sounds to me is it will be case working team who will reply me of which I am not expecting more than the genetic answer

You can't fast track first adult passport but with current processing time, you should be able to get passport within couple of weeks.
