URGENT QUERY

HI

MY BROTHER CAME TO UK IN JULY 2004 AND HIS EXTENTION IS DUE IN JULY 2008. HIS ANNUAL SALARY IS £24000 AND HE NEEDED £30000 FOR THE HSMP EXTENTION AND HE IS WORKING FIVE DAYS A WEEK.NOW ANY BODY CAN TELL ME THAT HE CAN WORK SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

First, please turn off your caps lock :) That is the web equivalent of screaming at all us.

Second, I assume your brother is currently on an HSMP visa? He is allowed to work for any UK employer however many crazy hours he wants to. So yes, he should be able to count whatever money he makes at a part-time job on a Saturday and Sunday.

Third, this would be much easier to answer if your brother were asking it himself...he'll probably get the best advice if he posts here and asks us himself.

It won't matter to the caseworker whether your brother is working morning, noon, and night, 24/7 -- so long as he lawfully earns that income in the applicable period prior to his extension application FLR(HSMP), it will count toward that income threshold that he needs to meet, in order to stay on. Good luck to him - it sounds like he has a year to get that sorted properly.

which profession is your so-called brother? cant he look for a job with a higher salary and work less hours instead of working 24/7 !
