EC VISA Help

Hi All,

I have to apply for EC clearance now in this month ..
I have 4.5 lac in my banck account .. Is it sufficinet ?

and once we got the VISA Stamped is there a minimum duration within which we need to travel to UK after the VISA If yes what is that Duration ?

for a single person to travel it should be sufficient, but here are no guidelines saying the minimum amount

ppl on the board have used a thumb-rule (dont know where it came from) of GBP 3000 per applicant.

The better thing, however, would be to draw up an expected expense sheet and show funds which are sufficient to sustain yourself for 3 months in UK without a job.

I am not sure, but I vaguely remember reading on the forum sometime back that you need to enter within 3 months of getting the EC. But it will be a nice idea to get some confirmation from other board members.

you can ask the ECO to stamp the EC validity date after say 2 months ... thus your EC becomes valid 2 months after it is approved

I am going to stay with my relative there in UK ..

What is the format of the letter ..
What is the requirement liek rent agrement .. bank statement etc ..
