Got passport and visa on 29th May :) . I opted for courier, so I got all the documents along with the passport via courier.

Guys,

This is 13th week & my visa is under processing. Its not true that they will process application within 12 weeks. They may take more time. Not sure how time they would take :(

@Tier2visa123

Dear All,

My wife would be applying for UK tier 2 dependent visa to join me in July.
I am currently on Tier 2 General visa to be renewed in Jan 2015.
So will it be a problem for her to get the dependent visa as it would be just 6 months from july 2014 to jan 2015?

Please help!!

Regards,
Pratik6261

@urfrnd

Thanks for update @urfrnd, I keep sending them emails every 4th day and just received again same reply.....I applied from Islamabad Pakistan...Please keep posting .........Did you ask them it has gone your standard time of 12 weeks what to do now, is anywhere we can contact after 12 weeks, shall I ask my sponsor to send high commission an email if that works

Regarding you my friend who is applying spouse visa, short visa left in your visa shouldn't be problem as one of my brother's wife went last year and his extension was also due soon ........only thing is wife will get the visa as much time left on your visa.

@Tier2Visa123

I spoke to them at start of May and they said they may take more time than processing guide depending upon each case. Tomorrow i will be contacting them lets see what comes.
Regarding contacting them through your sponsor, I guess it wont work as BHC wont entertain 3rd party emails. This is what my sponsor suggested.

@Pratik
Tier2Visa123 is right. She will get visa valid only for 6 months. You need to renew yours and spouse's visa there itself. I would advise you to select priority services (Fast visa processing option) for your spouse. Read latest guidance document and collect documents accordingly. Best luck

There is one more doubt that i am very concerned about.
I am currently in UK for more than 2 years, and my wife would be applying for the tier 2 dependent visa from india to join me.
Do i need to show 600£ to support her or do i need to show 600 + 900 (to support myself) = 1500£ for the maintenance requirements.
This is a big confusion i am very concerned about. I am already in UK tier 2 visa for more than 2 years.

Please help!!

Thanks @urfrnd Please update once you spoke to them. Just ask them now it has gone over 12 week so whom further I can write down or speak to....

@ shreya_6261, Logically you only need to show your wife's maintenance, You even don't even need to show your maintenance at the time of your tier 2 extension as you are in regular employment and you are exempted to show your maintenance. However as you are already in Uk so good to seek legal help, some solicitors even offer free 5 to 10 minute advice.

Guys,

Another reply from HC which is not at all helpful.

" Kindly await the decision on your application as it is under process.

We are unable to give any specific time line to resolve the application but please be rest assured that we will do our best to resolve the application at the earliest."

I am not sure what is going on and what to do:(

How do we check the status of tier 2 visa application on line.

Is there any portal where we can give the GWF to see the latest status.

does HC sends email on status change of our application on regular basis?

thanks.
