I am glad its over but also I pray that the people still waiting will hear good news before the end of the week especially the February applicants.

I need to get mn1 certificate and British passport for my child before 6th August. Am not sure if this will be possible???

This forum is very helpful especially in the last days when the wait was unbearable.

Hi All,
By Grace of Allah I have received my wife's and kids ILR (based on my ILR received in Feb) APPROVAL today. The long wait is over.
Firstly of all. Dear forum members, seniors and newbies I would like to show my greatest gratitude to you ALL. I've been this forum member for several years and have always found help and advices I sought. Fantastic website and I always found members here much more knowledgeable than some solicitors in high street or HO call centre (believe me, I've seen some solicitor haven't even got a clue. Don't even get me started on HO customer service phone line). I've always applied all my visas independently by the help of this website without solicitor which saved me a lot over the course.

I wish you good luck and success .

My timeline is following :
Applied for my wife ILR on 21 Feb14
Bio enrolled on 11 March14
Approval and docs received on 12 June14

Just quick question here, On approval letter it says Dear my "wife name" your ILR is approved etc., however it doesn't mention dependants my kids, Any1 any idea? (Both kids are UK born, applied ILR for them as well)
I'm assuming this letter covers all since HO charged fee for kids as well and there's no mention abt rejection to my kids.

I've updated google doc. Skydrive spreadsheet seems missing again it not there since yesterday.

Please feel free to ask me if u need more info.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... li=1#gid=0

P.S. Sorry for long post which might be a little boring, just wanted to provide full info.

GOOD LUCK!

Hi bhamblues,
you should be getting anytime soon. I also applied on 21 feb.

Don't be saddened when u call to HO phone line, My understanding is that they also have very limited source. All they can provide is info about the status of the application.
I called them 3 times yesterday, first time it said incomplete, second time spoke to same person who mentioned to me that he already informed me that it was incomplete which then I insisted to check after some time he apologised and said the package was sent out.
Third time i called to find out whether the decision was approved or not, lady said the application was incomplete, i told her that i was informed that package on the way, she told me it was impossible. I was a bit puzzled she was very certain. When i said that i was given royal mail track number ( which I already had in my records), she asked me number and then checked and she also apologised and said the package was sent out. She did say there must be system error as on screen it said incomplete but when she checked tracking number it was sent out.

Also for some reason they are not allowed to say whether application successful or not, all they say decision is sent out.

Hi wowboy,
Many congratulations to you and your Mrs on the ILR.
Why didn't you applied MN1 for the kids ?? , as they are clearly eligible by virtue of being British born.

Hi shahjee1234,
The reason, the country i come from do not accept dual citizenship. i want my kids to have my country citizen then later when rules are relaxed we'll apply british for them .
u can search my nickname in this forum, there's conversation somewhere me, Vinny an Amber about this topic.

I know you've also been waiting for your out come and it has been painfull, I hope and wish u will have good news pretty soon.

I used SET M and included kids as dependant to it.

My wife arrived before july 2012 rules, she had tier1 dependant till 2015, she switched FLRM (granted 2 years based on my 10 years ILR) then applied to SET M straight away.

Hi ma575,
Great new mate, congratulations, enjoy you freedom my friend.
Could you please let us know, was your case straight forward ??? The reason I am asking is because I applied on the 10th of February and I have straight forward case, and still home office is taking so long, so obviously you get worried as of what is going on.but if yours was a straight forward case than it will at least give me some courage that the delay is just normal laziness on part of Home office or them being busy with the British passport mess that they have created :)
All the best for your future mate. Take care.

Hi Shahjee,

Thanks very much for your message. Yes my case was quite straightforward. five-year student, two-year post-study work visa and then again four-year Ph.D. student visa valid until February 2015. But just like you from end of May I was quite concerned as to what is holding home office given that most of the January applications were decided within three months.

I think, as you know as well, perhaps it was because of Easter holidays plus unprecedented passport applications received by home office this year. If you read yesterday's bbc story on that then it becomes clear that they must have reallocated some staff to deal with that. However, now home office have recruited some more staff to deal with passport applications so hopefully they will focus on ILR applications again the way they were doing around a month ago.

I am sure you will hopefully receive the good news soon either this week or maximum by next week.

Best wishes

Many thanks khanazada123, that gives me some heart and courage, that it's not only me other brothers/ sisters are in the same boat. I hope that this back log could be cleared ASAP to make way for the March applicants as it is their turn already.
All the best my brother. Take care.
