Spouse query Long Residence

Post by anas123456789 » Tue Jun 17, 2014 8:13 pm

Hello Guys

hope all is well

please help me out with an extremely urgent query

i got married in 2013 and my wife joined me same time as a student visa dependent. both of our visas are expiring this November 2014. however i will be eligible for Long residence ilr this august since i will complete my 10 years.

my question is how will i be able to extend my wife visa? i know from this forum that my wife needs to apply for flr application and she needs to send her application the same date i will apply. but what are the basic requirements for this flr application for my wife? currently since i am a student, my income is zero and my wife is earning. i heard i need to show 18000 pounds per year income but i dont have any income since i am not working. will this be a problem?

please advise. how much funds i need to show.

i understand i have to give life in uk test for my application but what tests are required for my wife? her bachelor degree is from uk. will that exempt the eng requirement for her?

thanks

You can use your spouse earning for income threshold requirement as Home Office require household Income.
Hope this helps.

is this the yearly income as 18600? our yearly income is not anywhere close to that. what if we provide evidence of funds in our account? i have savings from year 2012 when i had a job.

I will advice you to go through the guidelines and mandatory requirement and
Yes you can use cash saving depending on what your spouse earning is.

Dear Moderators and senior members, I will apply for set (LR) 2015 . My wife came UK as tier4 dependent in June 2008 . At the moment I am not working .According to new Law Does she have to show earning 18600? Flr (m) Or Set (M)? If Flr (M) when she can apply for Set (M).Thank you for your precious time.

It's FLR(M) (5 year route) under Appendix FM-SE.

Hello everybody, I have also similar confusion. My husband and I both don't have 18,600 salaried job. But we have some cash savings of lets say 14,000 pounds. can anybody advise me if I can get for FLR m based on these savings?
