Travel Document (Convention of 28 July 1951)

Post by saw87 » Tue Jun 17, 2014 10:58 pm

Is the holder of a valid Travel Document (Convention of 28 July 1951) issued by the UKBA eligible to work in the UK without restriction?

The document is like a passport however it is blue and on the bio page it states the persons original nationality rather than British. I believe this is issued to someone who has been granted leave in the UK as a refugee.

Is this sufficient as proof they are allowed to take employment in UK?

Many thanks

Check https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... considered

I don't think the possession of the travel document entitles you to work, the two are not automatically related.
