Pls can someone switch from Tier 4 student to Tier one Entrepreneur. I'm presently on PSW which will expire in August but will rather opt to finished my ACCA before going fully on the self employed pathway but can I switch when I'm ready?

From the little I know, you would need to leave the country when you psw expire and apply for a student visa to complete your ACCA and you can always transfer to tier 1 entrepreneur as long as you have £200k available.

Wrong advice mate.
You can apply for student visa within UK, you don't have to leave UK to apply from home country for student visa.
Secondly yes while you on student visa you can move to tier 1 Entrepreneur visa but you need to show 50 thousand through venture capital and not 50,000 or 200,000 personal or third party investment fund. You can only apply for 200,000 investment fund from your home country if u are on student visa or 50,000 if u are on PSW visa.

Hope it helps.

Thanks guys very helpful. I'm considering starting the process. (tier 1) do I need to have the 50k in my own name or in the name of my business/company? also what's best registering a company with HMRC as a director or registering as self employed? Pls lets rub shoulders and contribute for a better application.

50k investment must be in your personal account.

@ABOBAEFE suggested way round your situation is to use your ACCA to your advantage in applying for your Tier Entrepreneur Visa. Assuming the fund are available and your have maintenance funds running as required you may detail your ACCA as part of the rigorous effort you are making in becoming a successful business owner, or Financial Consultant...

The option going back to Tier 4 will remove all the advantages you have through PSW. Notably you you will need funds from other sources even though you may have it and the simplicity of the process from PSW. Hope all my assumptions are right
