Can Tier 2 ICT dependent work in UK ?

Hi

My wife is working in UK under Tier 2 ICT ( Employee Sponsored ) VISA.
If i join her as a Tier 2 dependent, Can i seek employment(work) in UK ?

Remember, there are 3 categories under Tier 2 - the work permit, the change of employment and the ICT(intra company transfer)

I'm talking about Tier 2 ICT dependent.

Can a dependent be self-employed? Can he start his/her own small business? I tried looking for answer in many places but did not get any confirm answer. Also the Working and conditions link in Home office website does not explain about this properly?? It just states
"Your dependants are allowed to work, though your dependant cannot work as a doctor in training."
Its not very clear the defination of "work".

You will not be able to open up a company unless you are on Tier 1 visa..I have set up my own company and is looking for the contractors to come on board..if you want you can contact me...

Unfortunately certain ppl don't realise Google does not tell when the change happened.. 2011 .. 2013 .. 2015. Others pls ignore.
