Closing tier 1 ext in 2015,is very unfair. There is Nobody to
Represent our problem ,we are stuck between the governments political move.if the tier 1 visa was closed in april 2011,so
The 5 years should be calculated till 2016.we will
Be asked to just leave after paying taxes and everything.they can't stop EU immigrants cause they have to answer the EU gov,but we seem to be soft targets for rampant fee increase and stopping visa.e petition will not help much
Thanks

They just made this change in April 2014. They should allow 5 years from the change (i.e. April 2019) for ILR, and April 2017 for extension (assuming the extensions are only two years). Else, whose continuous residence had a break in 2013-2014 period will be in trouble.

dear @ iubus2005, @Go12 and others
i have been trying to bring everyone under one group to brainstorm and do something about it, but almost everyone except few have been callous about this and may be don't care at all?
Group mentioned is Facebook one, link of which is in my signature.
Admin in FB group there got a plan to go for judicial review and need fund for same, but except 6 among 200+ group members no one came forward, and my best guess is everyone plan to get ILR within yr and rather chose hard way than fighting it out. to me now situation looks bleak all due to lack of support and unity.

I am not affected by this, But still UK government's decision seems to be unfair.

Solution

Post by mian1 » Thu Jun 19, 2014 1:01 am

hi
i can imagine how painful this situation is
but they imagine that everyone will cross the line until that day where they close Tier 1 Extension
the solution is we all have to plan if we are short of period for ILR we have to apply for Extension before the Closing date than we will be ok in this regard.
anyway if need extension later get it early and they will give you 2 years or 3 years depend on your first application date
and it will resolve the issue and you all will be fine after this extension
