Sajjad Bahi you are right, why don't you call DX, there number is 08443710000. When you call the automated system will ask for tracking number, just hold and don't select any option till it give you the option to press the star key, and you can give your postcode and last name and they will tell you if there is any thing coming through.

Seriously angry at incompetent Home Office staff, received my Mrs BRP yesterday through DX, but nothing has been send out for my two daughters till today. You would think that being the dependants of my Mrs the BRP cards should have came together but not in Home Office's case :(
have to hold the SET(M) and couldn't book a date for the PEO as don't want to take chance with this, what if it is lost God forbid :( not happy at all.

Hi Ma14, my passport is with the HO since Sept 2012 too, I had an appeal hearing at the UT on 03/06/14 and I can empathise with you as this can be really frustrating, you have been waiting for 20 weeks already. I think you should write to them, but can they invalidate the LR application because of the appeal ( Experts please shed some light ). My solicitor asked me to put in my Set LR application that my passport was held by HO, now I am terrified that they will ask me for my passport as they did to you. Best of luck, I will pray for us.

Hi All,

My 10 yrs timeline
7 yrs 8 months student
2 yrs PSW
3/4 months 3c/3d

ILR Application sent. 27/02/14
Biometric done on 14/03/14
Still waiting

I called HO today and they said that application in progress not completed yet.

when I sent my ILR application on 27/02/14 my passport was already with HO form November 2013 as they refused my Tier 4 application and i went for appeal and I was given the date for appeal hearing in Mid July 2014.I have not withdrawn my appeal yet as this was suggested by a Solicitor.
As my appeal date is coming closer and I have not received any reply in regards to my ILR application I don't understand what my next step should be. Please advise?????
:roll: :roll:

Thanks

@m.elahi

As pr my understanding your ILR application will be void and send back to you if u dont withdraw your appeal as per policy guidance you cannot submitted new application if you have an pending appeal.

So u better of withdrawing ur appeal this is my opinion but wait for others senior members to share their thought on this and advice.

@ m.elahi.

I was in similar situation had my 10 years completed but had my tier 1 appeal pending so i had 2 options either withdraw the appeal and apply ilr or wait for the outcome lf appeal and then apply ILR ..... At which point i made several enquiries with different solicitors and everyone told me same thing tbat you cannot apply if u have appeal pending and its clearly written in policy guidance so i really doubt your solicitors capabilities.

Anyway i went for option 2 and fought my case won the appeal and once i got the visa i applied for ILR then.

So entirely upto u as policy guidance is quite clear but wait for others opinion too.

Hello everybody, congratulations to those who have got their ILR and best of luck to those who are desperately waiting for the approval.
I have a question in behalf of my friend who is going to apply for ILR on 10 year basis but he is short of 36 days to complete 10b years. His solicitor has advised to apply for another category and vary the application once 10 years passes by. I wanted to know if this is the right way because I have heard many horrors stories about solicitors knowledge. I think we have got more knowledgeable person Here, so please advice me ic anybody knows the process of varying or their experience regarding it. Thank you

@m.elahi

rehan01 is right ILR application will be void if one has pending appeal with Home Office.
