reapplying depandent visa, confusion over question

Hi

My wife applied dependent visa last month, I am on Tier 1 Entrepreneur.
her visa was refused.

Now I am reapplying her dependent visa. It was the first time ever that she applied for visa of any country.

now we are reapplying
In application form, there is a question

HAVE YOU MADE AN APPLICATION TO THE HOME OFFICE TO REMAIN IN THE UKIN THE LAST 10 YEARS.

do I say Yes or No ?

I think No because her first visa application was for ENTRY CLEARANCE, not for REMAIN IN THE UK.

M I right ?

in my opinion you are right answers to both questions is NO.

You mind sharing why your dependent was refused?

Yes i think both answers will be NO. However, it depends on first refusal reasons. Could you explain refusal reason? It might be good idea to explain in cover letter. For example, say if in her first refusal ukba said you dont have enough maintance funds. Then u can explain in cover letter that we have corrected ur intial mistake etc.

But do share refusal reasons, so everyone else will be able to help.

i think for the first one it should be No as she was not refused for leave to remain

BUT

for the second one, it should be YES as she was refused entry clearance. the sea port or airport as just of the examples. They are not the only possibilities. But she is refused the entry clearance

Reasons for refusal were as follows :

Documents we porvided didnt show how long I stayed in Pakistan following my marriage ( I sent attested passport pages photocopies which showed the dates when I left UK and the dates I came back. I left for Pakistan on 31-1-14 and came back on 9-2-14 ten days approximately, I also sent flight boarding passes as a proof of travelling)

Photographs are only for wedding day. This evidence in isolation not enough to prove that relationship is genuine. ( this time I am gonna send more photos following wedding day )

documents do not provide evidence that husband wife were in contact with eachother ( first time I wrote a DVD with skype chats, viber and whats app chat, but I didnt know that they dont allow DVDs with application , it was left ... this time I am sending print outs of chats and skype call log )

Yes ... I submitted business bank statement and advert ... But it appears that those supporting documents were not even touched ...

These documents are not important in dependent application.... more important are documents to support ur relationship. For relationship there can be extra documents such as proof of sending remittance to ur wife etc.. i have sent you message check your inbox

I think its NO
because if I say YES, it asks for SEA PORT or AIRPORT where entry was refused, date and reference number.

while next question clearly asks for visa refusal where I have to say YES
