FLR(M) Help

Post by kpk1234 » Thu Jun 12, 2014 12:33 pm

Hello All,

I am in the process of applying for FLR(M). I need to know if it enough to show the degree certificate to prove your English language or do I have to take a new test. I am currently on TIER1 (General) which is finishing in Aug 2014. I could have gone for ILR but I am falling short of financial requirement. My spouse is a British Citizen, So I have opted to go for FLR(M). Between us our income is more than£18600 in the last 12 months without any dependants. Does it have to be your sponser's income? Also as part of my previous TIER1 application by degree was recognised on points based calculator.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks in Advance.

Combined income is ok so far as you have the right to work. If your degree is awarded 20 or more points for qualification and 10 for English Skills, a print out will suffice A1 and B1 English.

Hi Amber,

Thanks for your reply. I was awarded 20 points for the degree and 10 points for english language as part of my Tier 1 application. I am doing two jobs at the moment with a combined income of more than £20000 annually. My second job I have started in January and when I worked out my last 12 months salary (Aug 2013 - July 2014 inclusive) I was falling short by about £100. Do you think it worth taking a risk in applying for ILR? I am so close to applying ILR and now with shortage I am having to take FLR route. I fall under pre April 2010 TIER 1 rules. I am trying to work more hours at my second job to cover the gap but I may not be able to cover.

Your inputs are appreciated.

Any thoughts Gurus or moderators or anyone had similar experience in the past?

If you need to meet financial requirements, don't risk it even if you fall short by just a pound.it is non negotiable. As you can use combine income, why not go that route.

Thanks Rayking. I am trying to get some extra hours to cover the GAP. If not I will have to take the FLR(M). It would be have been good if UKBA would take salary into consideration rather than earnings. But you know its just the way it is.

But don't you think there's a way out?since you're applying in July, can't you speak to your employers to give you extra shift just to make extra 100quid?
Why not try that?
