Timescales and Costs

Post by seesaw » Tue Jun 17, 2014 9:56 pm

Hi all, please be nice to the newbie :)

My wife has been refused a visitor visa to the UK from Thailand.

I am considering an oral appeal on Human Rights grounds that would be held here in UK with me as her representative.

Would anyone know aprox how long it would take from launching the appeal to actually getting to court? If anyone has an idea of costs I would be grateful.

Our alternative is to simply apply again, I know the costs and how long a decision takes.

Any useful replies would be much appreciated.

What would those human rights grounds be?

It might be quicker to re-apply than appeal. Just try to address all their concerns when re-applying. I don't have any personal exp. but I have heard that appeal takes longer.
