Naturalisation for Spouse

Post by Carrotstick » Mon Jun 23, 2014 9:47 pm

Hello All,
my husband is applying for naturalisation and holds ILR for now. Last year I got naturalised and now a British citizen. So for naturalisation which way do we go.....the 5 year residency route or 3 year spouse of British citizen.
Any information will helpful

Rubina, spend a little of your time to read through this link. All the information you need is there.

Naturalisation for Spouse same time as my application

Post by neverbackdown » Thu Jun 26, 2014 1:26 pm

hello,
i need some advise on my partner's naturalisation application .I am applying for naturalisation and my question is, if its possible for my wife to apply at the same time as me.

my Partner got ILR on basis of spouse of settled person few months ago, prior to that she was on PBS dependant for over 2 years. she has been in UK for over 3 years.

does she has to wait for 3 years on ILR before being naturalised?

or can she apply straight away as she has already been living in UK as my partner for over 3 years

if yes can we apply together as joint application.
please advise
thanks
