family visitor visa not stamped on requested date

Hi,

My mum is travelling from India to stay with me during my maternity period. She applied her visa on June 5th 2014 and mentioned her travelling date to be on July 5th as I needed her till Jan 5th (6 months of stay) but in-spite of asking for stamping to be on 5th July, they stamped her visa on June 12th.

Please can anyone advise on how can appeal her dates or extend her stay by another 1 month?
