90 days Maintenance on Parents overseas account?

Post by fahadii123 » Thu Jun 26, 2014 1:36 pm

Can I show the 90 days maintenance fund of £900 in my parents overseas account? I know it's acceptable for tier 4, tier 2 etc but not sure if it's allowed in Tier 1 as well?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards
Fahad

No.

Students of any age may use a bank account in their parent’s name as evidence that they meet the maintenance requirement. But, not in case of Tier 1 Entrepreneur.

I am applying for the visa with someone. In this case we both need to have £900 each on our accounts or we can have £900 in ONE joint account?

Also, if I have £900 amount in an overseas account(but on my own name). Is that acceptable?

Look, maintenance is a personal matter and business funding is a separate matter. Maintenance money have nothing to do with your business partner. Only £50K or £200K can be shared.

You must give the following separately:
1) HO T1E Form
2) HO Fees
3) Passports
4) English Certificate / UK Degree
5) Maintenance Money

You can also use foreign bank accounts (if they are under your name) as long as they are in the list of acceptable banks by HO
