Dear Sir/Ma,


My case is a complicated one.I am a dependant of a tier2 visa holder.We have leave to remain till 19th august 2014
We however applied for an extension on the 15th of june and got an acknowledgement letter on the 19th of June 2014.
Checked our account and only the fee for my husband was withdrawn.
This now led us to query ourselves and we realised that my son and i filled the wrong application form and submitted it along with that of my husband.

We hurriedly called the UKBA but no help,we were told to wait.We have been waiting and nothing yet.
For the life of me,i do not know how we made such a horrible blunder,all i have read online shows that they send an invalid letter after your leave has expired thereby making a person an overstayer.
My question is will my husbands own application as the main applicant be voided as well since that of my son and I are wrong?
Please has any other person made this sort of mistake before?
What can i do? Can i fill that form for return of documents or should i just wait and accept my fate?

My greatest worry is my husband as we applied at the same time,he did everything right,the problem is that of my son and I.

Which form did you use for dependant applications?

I have used this form last month and my dependants got visa.

i used the t2 (w) instead of the tier 1,2, or 5 pbs dependent form

Hello,
Why don't you fill in the correct form and submit, you may have to pay another money for it to be a valid application. I believe they should refund the previous money you paid.

UPDATE

Thanks to people who responded to me,very grateful.
I got advise and filled the right forms and sent it along with a cover letter explaining the mistake with our reference numbers and asked for it to be referred to the same case worker,did this on the 29th.
Yesterday,the money was deducted from our account..I'm hoping against hope that this means they are considering the new application in place of the old ones.

Will watch and be updating as time goes on in case someone else is in the same predicament as me.

Update
We kept calling UKBA because we did not receive a biometrics appointment letter.Only one person was helpful and requested for it on the 19th.
On the 22nd of July,we got the letter and enrolled the same day.
Today,30th July we have received our BRP visa extension..
I praise God for his wonderful kindness.
I'm amazed at how we didn't get into any trouble for our mistake.
Miracles do happen.
