Regarding Bank Statements

Post by applyhsmp » Sun Aug 05, 2007 4:16 pm

Hello All,

I asked my bank to give me the statement from July 2006 to July 2007. The bank manager at HDFC bank printed the transactions using a Dot Matrix printer on Dot Matrix stationary. Though he has put the bank seal and has signed it, I wish to understand from other people whether that is fine or not?

Regards

That's an old printer! :) The bank statements I submitted for HSMP (not EC) were just printouts.

The bank manager of my local branch notarised the first page of each month's statement. I would imagine the bank seal is sufficient, but can you go back and get notary seals as well?

Hi Apply HSMP,

I think you should be fine.
However
1) Does the print out contain the bank contact details?
2) Also can you give a valid reason why you didnt have normal statements?
3) Also I suggest you get a letter from the bank manager confirming the reason why you do not have normal statements.

provided you take the above precautions, I guess you would be fine.

Hope that helps,

Cheers,
