Hi all,
Just spoke to my solicitor's receptionist( as my solicitor is away on a holiday) . She said I have received a package from HO. Upon my request to open the package, she said there is a general letter (dated 19th June) saying "Your application for ILR in the UK has been approved. You will be sent a BRP as a confirmation for your ILR in the UK" .Just wanna confirm if I take that as an approval? My solicitor is back at his office 2mrw and I would be going down to see him to collect my package & hopefully my BRP. :)
Thanks all

Thanks msmussaf! It has been a tough 4 months for me. I (my solicitor) had requested for discretion in my covering letter,Since I had an absence of around 240 days in 2010 due to my mother's illness.
The feeling has still not sunk into me. Guess it would, once I get to see the approval & BRP myself 2mrw :) :)
Thanks to all the board members for keeping up my hopes alive with your encouraging words.

I take it you used the 06/14 form. Did you get any email updates for your case so far if you provided an email address?

Hi bhamblues,
Congratulations to you, well done and well deserved. That is good to hear that Home Office acted compassionately in your case to allow absence of 240 days from the country. Great result. All the best.
Kind regards

Heartiest congratulations brother for your successful application and for an end to this ordeal.
I am exactly in the same situation as am going to apply this week. My last grant was refused so am currently on 3c-3d. My solicitor advised me not to withdraw appeal and applying separate application for ILR. Was very confused as people and rules suggests otherwise; but your successful application has given me new hopes.

Hi superstar (love your user name)

They, UKBA, usually don't send the acknowledgement letter unless they've debited the money. Give it another couple of days to show on your account/statement. It could still be in the "system". If I remember correctly (it was a very long time ago now) my payment didn't come out of my account until 3 days after the acknowledgement letter.
