ILR continuous period calculation

Post by itontips » Wed Jul 02, 2014 4:38 pm

Hello everyone,

I got visa on 30th April 2010. And I came to UK on 26th June. I worked for two months and went back to India for my marriage from 1st Dec, 2010 and returned on 6th Feb, 2011

1) Did I break continuity period here. I believe not because, I didn't exceed the 180 days. Please confirm.

2) I applied for extension in April 2013 and they processed my application so quickly and extended from 23rd April 2013 - 23rd April 2015. My original dates were starting from 30th. Here I am shortage of 7 days. What should I do? Am I eligible for 5 years period if I apply on 22nd April 2015.

Thanks,
Gurpreet Malhi

If you were not employed and not away for 180 days in that yr, you have not broken any residency period. Show proofs of yur visit to India as Marriage reasons in a cover sheet clearly explaining your case.
