£50,000 invested funds for initial entrepreneur visa

Post by beckytj » Thu Jul 03, 2014 4:34 pm

I am a director of a limited company currently on a PSW visa which runs out in the next 7 weeks.
Im hoping to move into the tier 1 entrepreneur category.
My question is when we set up the limited company we spent over £50,000 on renovations to the building, equipment, lighting, tradesmen to do jobs etc etc. Could we use money invested instead of showing £50,000 to invest.
If so what do we need to show when we apply for the visa. Is it just receipts and before and after photos or is it more than that?

@ beckytj, equipment, lighting, decoration and few bits are ok, but renovations to the building is definitely a no go area except if the building belongs to the company.

To proof investment of the funds, you will need an elaborate and comprehensive documentation including directors loan agreement in order for your application to have a better chance.

Better still, you can provide evidence of 50k cash to invest to simplify your application, and then later claim all the expenses you invested later when you do your company's annual account/returns.
The key to success is knowledge and hardwork, and to have faith.
